The Ballast Collective is a musical trio: Nick Coultas-Clarke on drums, Ian Foster on piano/synth and Andrya Duff as the dancer/mover. The music spans from electronic chill to classical crossover in terms of musical style. They blend conventional instruments with cutting edge midi sensor technology that allows all members of the group, including the dancer, to create and manipulate sound. The result is a musical performance that is both musically and visually engaging for the audience, while exploring process and practice in a brand new way.
