Return to Nature
Amanda Spencer - Parent
Returned to Nature is a rusted, decommissioned robot, built from recycled materials and discarded electronics, lies in the street like a funeral procession. The public covers it in flowers made from salvaged waste, symbolizing nature reclaiming human excess—beauty masking decay, and a reminder that our overconsumption fuels the destruction it seeks to hide.

Tuned In

Tuned In is a 25–30 minute performance blending live radio and piano. Bernice and Noah move from nostalgic songs and gardening metaphors to an intimate exploration of resilience, mental health, and family. Through music, projection, and storytelling, audiences reflect on their own roots, leaving with a personal “seed” of memory.

how does it sound/how does it feel? is an immersive sound project with four LGBTQ+ neurodivergent Newfoundlanders, transforming distressing sounds into soothing soundscapes. Accessible via QR codes along the art crawl or through a PA system, it invites both neurodivergent and neurotypical audiences to explore comfort, reflection, and collective well-being through sound.

Quest to Roothaven

Roothaven blends performance, costume, and sculpture into a fantasy forest along West Street. Guests follow quests, meet magical characters, receive face painting, and collect fairy-made trinkets. Using theatre, immersive design, and handcrafted props, the work transforms BLOOM into a whimsical journey of transformation, wonder, and playful interaction.
