Lana Dauphinee and Lauren Gillingham began collaborating while working on a class project as part of Grenfell Campus’ theater program. Their shared love of performing and movement based art inspired the pair to dive deeper into the world of shadow theatre. Lana and Lauren utilize their combined three decades of dance training to create visual stories that come to life in the beam of a single light.

Step Into Shadow
Step Into Shadow includes a shadow theatre performance that highlights the ever-changing nature of live art. The projected silhouettes are in near-constant motion as bodies transform to create new shapes. Then the “play space” is opened and everyone is invited to explore for themselves the creation of a shadow theatre story!
