Future Leisure is an innovative dance and performance company based on the ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, also known as Vancouver. Under the artistic direction of Julianne Chapple, our productions, classes and events draw inspiration from an eclectic history of performed movement from circus arts to interdisciplinary performance. In addition to the creation of large scale productions, Future Leisure also presents the Shooting Gallery Performance Series twice a year, creating an opportunity for emerging interdisciplinary artists and runs online and in-person classes and workshops for movers of all experience levels.
