HOT 4 THE MOMENT
Drew Pardy and Georgia Dawkin are the two halves of the friendship heart necklace that is HOT 4 THE MOMENT. A creative collective, HOT 4 THE MOMENT developed as a way for Drew and Georgia to combine common themes of humour and silliness, and provides a space for play within their art practices. HOT 4 THE MOMENT has exhibited in Eastern Edge Gallery (NL) as well as set design for Lawnya Vawnya Music festival (NL). Both Georgia and Drew are currently based in St.John’s, NL and have received their BFA from Grenfell Campus, Memorial University.

THE FIX -ITS: WORKING HARD/HARDLY WORKING
As the creative collective HOT 4 THE MOMENT, Drew Pardy and Georgia Dawkin use playfulness, humour, and softness as an act of resilience and protest against systems of oppression within professional spaces as THE FIX-ITS. THE FIX-ITS: WORKING HARD/ HARDLY WORKING is an installation and endurance performance created to highlight unseen, unrecognized work and labour, while also mimicking the constant feeling of “catching up” or chasing an unattainable goal. This work is as much a social commentary on gender and labour as it is a comedic event as the performance is strongly based in the ironic and obvious humour within the bit of constantly working to fix something that is programmed to be broken.
